People are urged to support the Sandgrounder Radio and Ocean Plaza Easter Egg and Southport Foodbank Appeal

Sandgrounder Radio and Southport Foodbank have teamed up to launch their annual Easter Egg Appeal.
But this year, in light of the Coronavirus outbreak, they are now urging people to help them to support Southport Foodbank.
Sandgrounder Radio MD Andrew Hilbert said: “Today the Southport Foodbank has appealed for help with donations to help those who rely on the service they provide, especially during the current climate of the Coronavirus outbreak.
“So, here at Sandgrounder Radio, together with our partners at Ocean Plaza Southport, have decided to turn our recently launched Easter Egg Appeal into the Easter Egg & Foodbank Appeal.

Hotel turned into store helping NHS, elderly and vulnerable during COVID-19
“We are asking for any Easter Egg donations as well as any non-perishable food items.
“You can drop your donations off at DW Sports or Matalan at Ocean Plaza in Southport any time before Wednesday, April 8.
“We will then donate your Easter eggs to Alder Hey Children’s Charity in Liverpool as well as to the Southport Foodbank with all the non-perishable food items too.
“This is our chance to help a whole range of local people.
“Every little helps.”
