Southport has the opportunity to bid for up to £25million of funding under the Government’s Town Deals scheme. Stand Up For Southport is fully supportive of any efforts to try and bring new investment into our town.
Local residents, businesses and organisations will get the chance to have their say on how any money secured should be spent. The government has set aside guidelines for what the cash can be used for – it must be used to boost growth, through innovative regeneration plans.
The Southport Town Deal Board has now been set up, to put together a cohesive vision for the future of Southport and to ensure that people’s voices are heard within that process.
