Ever since food and drink businesses across the UK were ordered to close by the Government at the outbreak of the coronavirus crisis in March, people have been missing their favourite pizza fix.
But now a family restaurant in Southport has come up with the perfect idea – Pizza in a Pan!
As well as recreating the taste of your favourite restaurant dish they are also fun for families to make, with ingredients ready for rolling, topping and baking.
La Tabella Pizza and Pasta restaurant has been based on Botanic Road in Churchtown Village for the past six years, building up a loyal following of customers.
Their Pizza In A Pan idea came to them as a way of allowing customers to enjoy their style of food while the venue waits for news of when they can officially reopen.
Owner Rob Smallman said: “We deliver all the fresh ingredients for you to make a La Tabella style pizza at home. In each kit there will be fresh dough balls, flour for rolling, Tabella marinara sauce, grated mozzarella, sliced peppers and sliced spring onion.

“The Picante pizza kit will also contain sliced pepperoni and Cajun chicken and the Vegetarian kit will also contain sliced mushrooms and black olives.
“The kits will contain information leaflets but they are so easy to make, you just need a rolling pin, a frying pan and a grill!”
The kits are priced at £15 for two or £25 for four and will be delivered on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
The kits can be ordered by phoning 07394 905963 between 1pm and 6pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Orders must be placed before 6pm the day before you want delivery.
